Useless university textbooks
The resolution of the eText will be lower when downloading the book on an iPad or iPhone due to the file size. Apple devices are restricted to internal memory (16, 32, 64 and 128 GB). Due to those restrictions, the eText file size is reduced as much as possible thus reducing the scan resolution. Unfortunately there is no adjustment other than zooming into the text which will make smaller text become blurry.
They should give you an option for higher resolution textbooks some people buy bigger iPad memories. The only way I can stand to read my textbook is on my computer now making this app useless. The desktop version of bookshelf is sharp on retina macs I have no complaints. Pathetic you expect to read your textbook on your iPad only to find it has the same resolution as a 90s Palm Pilot.
